'The Jewish Ghost -
Being German: A Search for Meaning'

Compelling reading - healing - uplifting - challenging - out of the ordinary!

'An unusual spiritual journey: With warmth, honesty and humility, Louise Illig-Mooncie tells how the prejudice and hostility she experienced as a young German woman born just after the 2nd World War, prompted her inner search for meaning. After much spiritual effort, some dramatic psychic experiences and a first journey to Puttaparti (including an interview with Sathya Sai Baba) Louise finds a karmic perspective, spiritual love and peace of mind.'
       Louise Illig-Mooncie                                                                 Sandra Levy

The book is called 'The Jewish Ghost: Being German - A Search for Meaning' because Louise was born in a post-war Germany that was only slowly acknowledging the truth about what had happened to Jewish people between 1933 and 1945.
Louise's response was to go on a soul-searching journey, to find 'meaning' as a German in such circumstances. She has described how, through a number of unexpected and sometimes challenging life events that really began for her when she was a teenager in the 1960s, she came to recognise that there was a personal connection between her and the Jewish people that continues to this present day. There was a metaphorical 'Jewish Ghost' in her life that she needed to understand. Louise's search was to take her to India in 1991 to Sathya Sai Baba, an Indian Holy Man. Her experiences with Him were transformational, enabling her to open her heart and mind to concepts such as unconditional love and selfless service to humanity. Louise's journey also led her to an unexpected meeting with a 'real' Jewish Ghost, which was to confirm her belief in reincarnation and provide her with a possible answer to her questioning search. Her journey did not end there, as she was to have a near-death experience, during which she was 'told' she had more to do during her present life, including writing about her German/Jewish experiences.

Dr. Dina Glouberman, Author of 'The Joy of Burnout', says about Louise's book:
''I read it almost nonstop. Lovely and compelling reading. Congrats."
